Autumn Symposium 2009 - Insights into the metabolomes of parasites
10th September 2009
‘Metabolomics’, the study of the profile of metabolites present in a cell/organism, has matured to the extent that it is beginning to provide exciting information and insights into how cells/organisms are adapted to their environments.
The technology is now more widely available and so applying it to studies on parasites is feasible. The aim of this meeting is to give an update of what can be done, how, the power that this approach has, and possibilities of applying the methods to address your research questions.
Trypanosomiasis and Leishmaniasis Seminar 2010
30th March - 1st April 2010
The biennual Trypanosomiasis and Leishmaniasis Seminar will take place in Cardiff over the period 30th March to April 1st, 2010.
The programme for the Seminar is currently being drawn up, it is envisaged that it will not differ greatly from the previous highly successful Seminar in Newcastle in 2008 and also draw on the Woods Hole Kinetoplastid Meeting in 2009. The Seminar organisers for 2010 will be Graham Coombs (graham.coombs@strath.ac.uk) and Karen Grant (k.grant1@lancaster.ac.uk). Please contact them with any suggestions for special sessions or any other aspect of the meeting.
